How long did your baby's umbilical cord stay on for?

My baby is about 2 1/2 weeks and his umbilical cord still hasn't fallen off. What's the longest that the cord has stayed on for some of your babies? Is there something I should do if it hasn't fallen off after a certain amount of time?
