Why do christians continue to perpetuate the myth of being eaten by lions in the coliseums?

You mean the story of Prophet Daniel when they were thrown inside a lion den by king Darius or was it Cyrus?of Medio-Persian empire?they were not Christian folks but a true Muslims(ones who submitted themselves to the will of GOD).
