Painful bony lump on finger?? What the heck is this thing?

Ok so I have a bony bump on my middle finger on the left hand. For a few days I noticed pain in the finger and just recently realized the cause was this bump. At first I freaked out thinking it was a bone and I broke something without noticing it. Now coming to my senses, I realize that's not possible but still can't explain it. I am very healthy. I am 23. I run and exercise on a regular basis. I take supplements and vitamins and omega 3's. I don't eat dairy products, I get all my calcium from greens and other vegetables. I don't eat meat, I get my protein elsewhere. I don't understand what this could be or how to get rid of it. It is not a cyst because it does not feel fleshy or move around. It is like a bone just popped up over night. Please help me. I have no health insurance so seeing a doctor is out of the question considering it would cause me to go bankrupt. Anyone have any idea what this could be??
